PROPOSAL AGAIN.

Added Emma Campbell's stuff and then went over it all as a whole to make it flow...
also added about the types of research we will be doing whilst the tracks going on and added a conclusion. Its a bit over 500 but oh well.

What do you think?

Our team aims to investigate the thoughts and actions of our chosen opinion former, hence using a sociable, creative person that matches the attributes of a Connector described in Malcolm Gladwell’s “The Tipping Point”. Connectors are highly influential characters within so many different tribes in our society, and have large and ever-expanding social circles. The opinion formers we have selected match these attributes, so we know our chosen Trendsetter will help us to get Kickers seen and in effect, help to raise Kickers brand awareness.
After receiving their Kick Hi boots, our opinion former will have access to a Flickr account which we will have created for them. Here, they will be able to upload images of them wearing the Kick Hi's, which will in turn promote the brand, inspire others to wear Kickers, as well as showing new ways to wear and customize their shoes.
These images of our opinion former will then be added to the popular Flickr group “Wardrobe Remix”, where members are invited to post pictures of their daily outfits. From this, we will have an improved insight of what others think of Kickers, due to the encouragement of comments within the Flickr group. The users will be able to give feedback on our Trendsetter's Kick Hi's, allowing us to see their opinions of Kickers as a brand.
Our team will also create a Blog for the Trendsetter to note down when and where they wear their Kickers, and the comments they are receiving about them. This will be extremely helpful for us, as we will have constant access to the site to find out what is happening, without repeatedly having to contact them personally.
To realise the potential for Kickers and see if their brand awareness is increasing, the first section of tracking will be split up over three weeks to give the opinion former more direction, and to gain statistics on our findings. We have included a copy of the three week track sheet that we will give to our opinion former as part of this.
After this initial three week track, we will meet with our Trendsetter to talk about their key findings, and to brief them on the second part of the experiment.
Within this second part of the track, we will ask the opinion former to continue blogging about the shoes, updating their Flickr account and wearing their Kick Hi's regularly for the following three weeks. After this second three week period, we will then meet up again to look at the findings of the whole 6 week experiment, to see what they have found most interesting and most importantly, if they are going to continue to wear the shoes.
Whilst the Trendsetter track is being carried out, our team will continue to research the brand awareness of Kickers. This will include conducting focus groups with different tribes, and observational research in Nottingham, where we will ask people we consider to be opinion formers about the brand. We have also decided to interview Trendsetters who wear Kickers, to see what interests they have and what tribe they belong to, to see if there is a particular type of opinion former that wears them.
Overall, we wish to further our understanding of the process of how trends are generated, and by completing the research we have set ourselves, we will be able to feed back to Kickers our findings and help them in their pursuit to raise brand awareness.

Also, had to take out the actual 3 week track as it was too many words, but we're handing that in anyway.

NEW PROPOSAL

I looked over the proposal and it was good but some of the wording needed changing so i've changed it around and got the words up to 500. what do people think??

Our team wants to investigate how best to track our opinion former to build up brand awareness and to see if we can generate a hype about Kickers. To do this we will tracking the thoughts of our chosen opinion former and following them and their experience with their Kick Hi Boots. The opinion formers we have chosen to use are all sociable, creative people that match the attributes that are described in “The Tipping Point” as a connector. Connectors are a part of so many different worlds and have large social circles so we hope our chosen opinion former will help us to get Kickers seen and help the brand grow.

Our opinion former will be asked to create a flickr account and a blog to note down when and where they wear their kickers and the kind of comments they are getting about them. The flickr image file will show the opinion former wearing the shoes which will promote the brand and also inspire people to wear the shoes and even give people ideas of new ways to wear and customise them. These images of our opinion former will then be added to the popular flickr group “Wardrobe Remix” were members are invited to post pictures of their daily outfits. By doing this we will have a better insight into what people really think of kickers as a brand because highly encouraged to give feedback on people’s outfits.
The blog will also be very helpful for us, as we can find out what is happening when the opinion former wears them without us having to contact them personally.

To realise the potential for kickers and whether there is a possible market, the research will be split up weekly so the opinion former knows what they need to do to help kick start the trend. This gives the opinion former more direction and means we can learn some strong facts and statistics.

Week 1- The opinion former needs to wear the shoes regularly, but do not mention them to people, just see who notices the Kicker shoe. Note who asks about the boots and what they say about them. How does the opinion former feel in the shoes?

Week 2- The opinion former starts to wear the shoes regularly and begins to create a conversation about the new shoes to friends and contacts to see what people say. Who likes them? What key words are people saying? How does the opinion former feel in the shoes?

Week 3- Let the opinion former personalise the shoes and make them their own. Note down what they did and how the opinion former feels now they are unique to them.

The opinion former needs to keep blogging about the shoes, updating their flickr account and wearing their Kick His regularly for another 3 weeks. We will then meet up with the opinion former after the 6 week experiment and see what findings they have, and most of all are they going to keep wearing the shoes

proposal

Brief draft of proposal. Needs a bit of re-wording and about another 100 words, if anyone wants to add anything or change it.

Proposal

Our team wants to investigate into the mind of our chosen opinion former, hence using a sociable, creative person that matches the attributes that are described in “The Tipping Point” as a connector, which should help us grow Kickers as a brand.

Our opinion former will be asked to create a flickr account and a blog to note down when they wore the boots. The flickr image file will show the opinion former wearing the shoes which will promote kickers and also inspire people to wear the shoe and even ideas on how to wear it. The blog means we can find out what is happening when the opinion former wears them without us having to contact them personally.

To realise the potential for kickers and if there is a possible market, the research will be split up each week for the opinion former into what they need to do when they wear the shoe.

The opinion former needs to keep blogging about the shoes and wearing them regularly for another 3 weeks. We will then meet up with the opinion former after the 6 week experiment and see what findings they have, and most of all are they going to keep wearing the shoes?

MOODBOARDS.

Here is what the "notepad written" effect looks like for Viv.

Might look better on a bigger notepad all as one.. but can defo cut and crop background & some of pad to put in diff places on moodboard? Also they are wayyy bigger it's just had to upload small on here.
Can also change the way written & Viv thing, was just playing around with ideas.

What do you think?

I'll do the photoshop written one now... (I think the p'shop one might look better)
Also, what font do you think we should use for these?
Was going to use Courier or a handwriting font... ??
